Water Lilies Blooming

Water Lily

On our Easter Sunday biking expedition with the kids, we biked to a local park and logged our longest family ride yet – 10 miles!  The weather was perfect, just a bit cool to start.  This photo is of one of my favorite spots in town.  We frequently see alligators, turtles, osprey and other wildlife.  The lilies bloom in late Spring, and they are awesome!  It’s like a giant water garden.  The pads float like little green boats, with the white flowers appearing as their passengers.  After admiring the view and placing a new geocache in the area, the kids played at the park.  The ride home was perfect, and no one got the least bit grumpy!  We stopped by another of our geocache sites, Jamberry, and picked the first of the ripe blackberries!  They were a little tart, but our daughter managed to demolish them all in minutes.  Overall, a super Sunday!
